User Agreement

Introduction

Canfurence Anthropomorphic Events Inc. (hereafter referred to as "CanFURence" or "We" or "Us") requires all attendees who wish to participate (hereafter referred to as "you" or "your") in the FurryDex game to read and agree to this User Agreement before participating. The following "Terms" outlined in this document are to ensure the wellbeing of all participants. This document does not supersede the CanFURence Code of Conduct

Definitions

  • "Attendee": Individuals who have registered for, and are attending, a CanFURence event.
  • "FurryDex" or "Dex": An online collection of Fursuits submitted by "Fursuiters" to be revealed and collected by "Fursuit Catchers"
  • "FurryDex Game": A game provided by CanFURence for attendees who wish to participate.
  • "Fursuiters": A role in which a participant voluntarily submits some personal information identifying their Fursuit
  • "Fursuit Catchers": A role in which a participant voluntarily submits a Google email address to login through Google to the FurryDex website

Service Provided

The FurryDex game is hosted and made available by CanFURence to registered attendees for free. This service is made available at CanFURence’s discretion and is not guaranteed.

Terms

By participating in the FurryDex game you agree to be bound by the following Terms

  • You will abide by the CanFURence Code of Conduct
  • You may not reproduce materials on the FurryDex website, in whole or in part, without explicit permission from CanFURence
  • You may not reproduce the materials provided by Fursuiters, in whole or in part, without their explicit permission
  • You will not reproduce or imitate, in whole or in part, the QR codes provided by CanFURence for the FurryDex game without CanFURence’s explicit permission
  • You will not abuse or misuse social media contact information provided by Fursuiters to harass or otherwise circumvent their contact preferences.
  • You acknowledge that "Fursuit Does Not Equal Consent". In other words, the act of wearing a Fursuit does not imply consent to such things as (but not limited to) being touched, hugged, grabbed, photographed, inappropriate attention and comments, harassed etc.
  • You agree you will not touch a Fursuiter without their explicit permission, even if their QR code is obscured
Fursuiter Submissions:
  • You are, or will be, 18 years of age or older by the time the CanFURence event begins.
  • You acknowledge that if you are not 18 years of age or older by the time the CanFURence Event begins you will be banned permanently from the current and any future FurryDex games
  • You acknowledge that the FurryDex follows the same "PG13" rating as the CanFURence Event and will not submit explicit material in your submission
  • You certify that the individual wearing the Fursuit in the photo included in your submission is you
  • You will not impersonate another individual, regardless if they are attending the CanFURence Event or not
  • You agree to submit a photo of yourself wearing a full or partial Fursuit. Artwork or ‘headless’ photos will not be accepted
  • You agree that CanFURence may reject your submission in full or in part for any reason

Termination

Participants who violate this agreement will, at our discretion, have their account deleted, their Fursuiter entry removed and/or be banned from future FurryDex games.

If you submit personal information to be a Fursuiter and are not 18 years or older by the time the CanFURence event begins you will be permanently banned from the current and future FurryDex games.

Data Collection and Privacy

As all personal information collected for the FurryDex game is voluntarily provided, CanFURence interprets the submission as consent to the collection, use and disclosure of personal information as described in the FurryDex Privacy policy.
Data collected includes:

  • Google Account ID and email of Fursuit Catchers for authentication
  • Personal data supplied by Fursuiter applications to produce an entry on the FurryDex website for Fursuit Catchers to reveal.

An individual may submit a written request via email to info@canfurence.ca to have their e-mail and its associated Google ID or their supplied personal data deleted.

CanFURence will not share the Google Account ID or Email address with anyone. Further information on the data, how it is used and stored may be found in the FurryDex Privacy Policy
